ADD and the Behavior Intervention Plan

Greetings from the snowy, blowy Land of OZ!

We are in the middle of what is called a "winter snow event." And what an event that it is! We have more snow today than we have had in the past two years! It has given me some time to reflect on my writing.

This article describes the process of developing an effective behavior intervention plan. A behavior intervention plan allows a child to learn a new behavior to replace one that is causing him problems in a setting. If a child with ADD has a behavior that impacts his learning, he may need a BIP.

Would you like to know more about the process of developing a behavior intervention plan? I could do articles on how to do a functional assessment of behavior. I could also break down the various parts of a behavior intervention plan and give more detail about developing each. Is there any interest in these topics? If so, post in the forum or click on my name beside my picture on the ADD homepage to use the site's e-mail function. I want to do articles that you find helpful and interesting!
