I woke up this morning to peacefully falling snow. More than six inches; my town has come to a halt. It is peaceful, quiet, serene. I decide to whip up a batter of pancake mix, turn the oven on, and slowly heat up some pancakes. I am in a zen-like mood, flipping my pancakes, and wondering what is different? Besides the fact that I never make pancakes anymore, what was it about the snow that encouraged me here? Why now? But each pancake is coming out perfect and life seems good. My mood and environment obviously led here.
And so it goes with creating. We must follow our moods to create our masterpieces. We must learn how to alter our moods when we need it. (Put on music!!!) Our environment must enhance our working area. (Color, color, color) Inspiration must surround us if we want to create on demand.
I have one more magazine review this week. Memory Makers can help put you in the mood to create. I believe that it is important to sample as many magazines as possible and find which one offers you the help you need most. Get a subscription to one or two magazines to always have inspiration at hand when you need it.

Tip of the Week
Find your unwanted jewelry and use them for embellishments!
All of those sidewalk sale or rummage sales jewelry that you bought and have never used can now have a purpose. Get rid of any loose wires or hooks that your don’t want, and these pieces can really jazz up your work.
