The last day of February is here. My son Nicholas turns 14 next month. I splurged and got a Kindle 2.0 that arrived yesterday. I got a few autism related books already and love the larger font for reading.

Is anyone attending the CSUN conference - 24th Annual International Technology & Persons with Disabilities March 16-21 at LAX Airport Hotels? I plan to do the free exhibit day on Friday March 20th. This will be my first year, been waiting for ten years when the LAUSD AAC Accessor told me about it, she has spoken there a few times. I am excited to check out the exhibitors:

Also the Zoo now has Docent led tours on Thursday afternoons for kids on the autism spectrum. www.lazoo.org for more details.

I am having a gluten free twitter party on Friday, April 3rd - my birthday. There will be panel members at 9AM, 1PM & 7:30 PM PST. There will also be prizes. I am currently seeking any gluten free, and gfcf food products - can be gift certificates. I am also hoping for books and magzines relating to celiac and gfcd to give as prizes. Please contact me if you are interested in donating. It will be heavily promoted on twitter and a blog post for each prize on my blog. Another event I would like to do on twitter is to promote by interviewing authors of newly releasd books on the topic of autism. This can be books that have been released thus far in 2009 or soon to be in the next two months. You may know that Jenny McCarthy has a new book due out end of March, so I want to show there are other sides of autism out there in the media and give authors the opportunity to spotlight their books as the media will be buzzing on Jenny.
