Shalom everyone!! One hundred years ago today, one of the worst workplace accidents in American history occurred in New York City when a horrific fire, taking the lives of 146 individuals occurred at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory. This terrible tragedy is tremendously important in Jewish women's history as well as women's history and the history of the labor movement. In its aftermath, numerous workplace safety measures were passed. In honor of the anniversary of this tragedy, this week's article focuses on it.
