Greetings Everyone!
My son Nicholas turned 16 this past week. We made a visit to the Los Angeles Zoo and next month plan on going to El Capitan Theatre for the Earth Day movie African Cats. This will be the third year for us. He still wants to work at the Zoo.
Next month is the LAUSD - Los Angeles Unified School District Parent Summit. It is on Sat April 30th. I am receiving a service award through the Community Advisory Committee. The Parent Summit is held at the LA Convention Center. This event is free with breakfast and lunch provided. There are over 15 workshops for special education. This takes place from 8-2. Information is at http://parentsummit.lausd.net
This is also the first year that the Autism Walk a thon and resource fair will not be the same Saturday, as it is being held the Saturday before on April 23rd in Pasadena at the Rose Bowl. I only go for the tables to see the vendors and get brochures and information to share with other parents and meet those I know from facebook and twitter.
Let me know via email, facebook or twitter if you will have a table at either of these events. My id is http://twitter.com/autismfamily and http://www.facebook.com/autismfamily
