Telly Talk:
You'll soon be able to catch some great BBC shows on YouTube, as the Google owned site will be giving the Beeb three channels- one for news and two for entertainment.
Two stories this week featuring motorized telly stars.
Del's iconic three wheeled Robin Reliant from Only Fools and Horses wowed the auction crowd as it sold for £44,227.50 last week- more than double the estimate.
If you want to own a cool piece of telly history, head over to ebay and bid on Gene Hunt's Cortina from the hit show Life on Mars. “... take it from me. She runs like a dream. You can trust me. I’m a copper,” exclaims Gene on the ad. All proceeds from the sale will go to Comic Relief. Check it out here.
Robson Green fans can expect more of Northern Lights- but now filming has moved to London, with a new title to match. City Lights will feature a change of identity for the brothers-in-law as they start life under the witness protection scheme.
Nominees for the BAFTA Pioneer Audience Award have been announced, and include Celeb Big Brother (urgh), Planet Earth, The Vicar of Dibley and Life on Mars (I'm going to have to start calling this the L on M newsletter !) Vote here for your fave.
National jewel, Julie Walters, has said she'd like to appear in Corrie. The actress said she would be happy pulling a pint or two in the Rovers, or “... perhaps a little affair with somebody. I would not say no to Dev - in a little bit of a tryst.” Ooo-eeer Julie, join the queue !
Finally, sounds like things were getting a bit frisky during filming of the new series of Dr Who. Freema Agyeman was to be seen stripped to her undies, but the scene was deemed 'inappropriate' David Tennant quipped to reporters: “You can't have shagging in the Tardis.” Ahem. Quite !
That's all for this week
See you soon.
