Positive Self Talk Helps ADD
Greetings from the Land of OZ!
A friend from my childhood posted a picture on Facebook. His backyard in Montana is knee-deep in snow. It looks like my yard did last month. All of that moisture has worked wonders at our house. The backyard pond is full and the toads are entertaining the neighborhood with their nightly chorus. Goldfish are chasing around in the water. Bunnies are getting pudgy eating violet plants. Our backyard is a busy place filled with wonder! That's the spin that I put on it. People who adore a green grassy lawn don't necessarily appreciate the violets and wild strawberries! However, we like to see the positive things going on back in our little piece of suburban wilderness.
Life with Attention Deficit Disorder can be filled with negatives (if you believe the mainstream press) or you can see the interesting parts that come with ADD. Positive self-talk is when a person puts the best spin that they can on events. The person tries to find the positive in an event as they think about it. Positive self-talk can be a powerful tool in building a great life with Attention Deficit Disorder.
