Aprili Showers are here with a vengeance - as I write rain is pouring down the windows. Some say this rain is too little too late to avoid drought in England this summer as the rains will be soaked up by plants and ground, the water not being enough to fill our reservoirs.

The latest English Culture article is a review of a film I saw last night - wonderfully engaging, it has both humour and pathos. Well worth seeing.

Another film version of the British in India - but one with an unusual twist, for none of these people are young. They are earching for something they could not find in England, drawn by the promise of a retirement home in the sun. A stellar cast includes Judi Dench, Dev Patel and Maggie Smith.
