Christel Weidmann is a Master Tatter and Tatting Designer. Published in German, Ms. Weidmann's book of imaginative graphic style patterns has been re-released. Traditional style techniques are combined with split rings, split chains and the self-closing mock ring technique to create a wonderful variety of animals and flowers with a Spring/Easter theme.
My absolutely favorite animal is not the bunny nor the little chicks but the bird in fight on the cover! Take a close look and you will see the far wing displayed flat but the near wing is puffed and turned it were actually flying. The tail feather even has a slight flirty wave as if lifted by the wind beneath its wings.

The narcissus from the front cover is a delicate flower which tats up well.
This is a paperbound 8.5" x 11" (22 x 27 cm) book with diagrams. Full written instructions accompany the clearly illustrated diagrams (see sample below) which have the double stitch count on each segment. The order in which the rings or chains are tatted is indicated on the diagram also, i.e., Ring A, B etc.
Although the text in German, there is a two page list of the abbreviations.
These abbreviations are shown in this style:
DK = DS = Double Stitch = Doppelknopf.
