Here's the latest article from the Mexico site at BellaOnline.com.

Hi,
What stereotypes- true or false (or more than likely a mixture of both) of Mexico do you have?

Mexican Stereotypes
In the Mexico site forum one of the topics is "Mexico Stereotypes-True and False" in which readers are asked to respond with their stereotypical impressions of the country and its people. I compiled those responses and here are the results. What stereotypes of Mexico do you have?

??????? Question of the week ???????

What is the only state in Mexico that does not observe Daylight Saving Time?

Answer from last week's question:

"La mordida"/"the bite" is the "traditional and customary way of getting things done" in Mexico by the asking for and receiving of bribes by (normally) representatives of various levels of the government- the police being the most notorious. I am planning that "la mordida" will be a topic of a forthcoming article. Although still part of the Mexican way of life, I believe that to a certain extent the situation is getting better especially through the efforts of some federal and state agencies.
