Greetings, Today in History lovers!

The month of April saw some very exciting articles go live! If you're wondering where things have been going, well, I'll tell you!

I've reformatted my articles, and I hope you like the new layouts! They should be easier to read and still give you a fire-hydrant-esque deluge of information. Here's what we have for April:

April Fools Day History and Origins (April 1)
April 1st has become the day for pranks and practical jokes, but, why? Was it because of a Christian celebration or was it due to a change in calendars? Or was it something else entirely...

Lee Surrenders to Grant (April 9, 1865)

Chernobyl Disaster (April 26, 1986)
In 1979, TMI in Middletwon, PA, had a meltdown that released virtually no radiation into the atmosphere. Still, the government took precautions and evacuated the residents. In 1986, Chernobyl's reactor number 4 exploded, but nothing was really done about it. What caused the disaster?
