Cubital Tunnel Syndrome - Carpal Tunnel's Counterpart
Lurking in the shadow of carpal tunnel“s fame is its counterpart, cubital tunnel syndrome. Cubital tunnel is the second most commonly occurring nerve compression of the upper extremity. There are simple modifications that can help relieve the symptoms of this frequently repetitive strain injury.

Quick Stretch -

With computer and desk work, our shoulders can become rounded and our chest muscles tight. The doorway stretch is a great exercise to open up our posture.
Stand in a doorway with your forearms placed against the frame of the door, your hands about head height or slightly higher. Slowly step through the doorway until you feel a gentle stretch in your chest muscles (pectoralis major. Hold for 30 seconds.


Ergonomic Tip -

Make sure that your monitor is at a good height. The area of the screen in which you do the majority of your work should be placed about 15 degrees below your eye-level. Use a full ream of paper for a quick-fix until you can get a monitor riser.
