Here's the latest article from the Attention Deficit Disorder site at BellaOnline.com. Disclosing ADD at Your Job
Greetings from the Land of OZ!
When do you tell people at work that you have ADD? The answer is different for each of us. Sometimes the moment is right, and at other times there was no way that I would tell anybody. (Well, except that everybody knows, since I am the BellaOnline ADD Editor! Plus, I am quite comfortable with disclosing.)
How do you tell what to do? Make an informed decision by using this simple strategy. SOCS is a decision making tool that has you look at the situation, options, and consequences for each option. Then, you find a solution. I find that it's quite helpful when I need to clarify my thoughts. I use this whenever I have a tough decision to make.
