Que Pasa? (What’s Happening?)

Well May is here and about gone. Then we will be in the midst of the summer doldrums around here. The temp. was over 102 at 9:30 a.m. today. Yuck. Oh…but it’s a dry heat. I have always laughed at that saying, but it is true. In August it gets hot, hot and humid, then we are miserable.
About October is when we get our Spring. We crank open the windows and air out our stale air conditioned homes. It’s when we start planting the flowers and tomatoes and painting the trim.

D.H. and I drove to San Diego again for Mothers Day. Our two boys live thousands of miles away so he tries to make - my day - special.

We ate on Mission Beach at Canes. If you’re ever in the area, this is a really fun place. Great view of the ocean and good service. The food is California – Mex. We ate outside in the rooftop bar. If you have ever been to Belmont Amusement Park on the Boardwalk, this place is at the far end away from the old wooden rollercoaster.

The Southwest Travel blog has a new post about the Ocean to Ocean bridge in Yuma and I am working on more posting about our El Golfo trip. Yes, we went again. Our friends were so gracious to ask us to join them again.
