Greetings Everyone ~
It has been another busy week for our household. Nicholas had a field trip Friday and I learned that the school buses in Los Angeles do not have seatbelts. I thought they did and recall hearing from my son that they did have them. I placed a call to the Transportation Dept of LAUSD and they do not have them.
I went to two informative meetings last week through the School District and my minivan overheated as we arrived at Feeding therapy Tuesday nite. We waited almost two hours for a tow truck to get us home.
Nick is enthralled with the three kittens and adult cats that are living below our house under the porch. I am spending a lot of money on cat food and now have allergic conjunctivitis in one eye.
We also have our yearly assessment with IHSS this week, Nicholas has a festival at school on Friday and in less than one month is Matthew's IEP. I received letters from Globe Life turning both kids down for life insurance but did get a letter from United of Omaha asking for the first month's payment, so this might be promising.
I also applied to Peoples Benefit Life and checked off no to the health question since it did not apply to autism. This looks like it might be accepted too. I have updated the article on Life Insurance with these details.
Next weekend is a holiday weekend and time is flying by. Hopefully everyone has their summer plans set in motion. I will learn in early June whether the scholarship for summer daycamp has been accepted. I also learned that the first day back to school for Matthew is August 18th, which gives him four days between camp and school. Nicholas has a few weeks where we can go skating, bowling and movies.
