Testing season is drawing to a close, and many gifted students are breathing a heavy sigh of relief as they rest from months of SATs, APs, ACTs, and other tests. What's coming up next? Summer can be a great time to focus on a passion or to try something new. The summer months go by all too fast, and if the gifted students in your life don't have any plans, it might be a good idea to sit down and figure out some short term goals. Goal setting and planning is a valuable experience in itself. Your student might want to take an online course, take part in a community theater production, develop a service project, or read a series of classic novels. There are many wonderful opportunities for growth!
