What's new in higher education?
The University of California is considering having online degrees. They are currently studying the issue.

UC is not the first major public university to offer programs online or classes. Universities such as the Pennsylvania State University (Penn State), the University of North Carolina, the University of Massachusetts, the University of Central Florida, the University of Texas are among those schools offering online courses and/or degrees.
