Hello everyone, it’s been a busy week for me again, out every day chasing my tail. We had our 1st Birthday celebration for the Sisters of Stitch on Wednesday. It was lots of fun with heaps of laughter and silliness, just what the doctor ordered.
We had a beatiful fruit cake made by one of our wonderful cooks – Iris, and some lovely lucky door prizes donated by our local craft shop, thanks Shirley. It’s hard to believe that we’ve been gathering for 12 months – how time flies. It’s such a lovely group of women and I feel privileged to be part of this wonderful friendship group.
Today I gophered (workshop assisted) for a Sue Benner class that was being presented by the Queensland Quilters Inc, my state guild. Sue is a vibrant, generous art quilter from the States and has so much to offer every kind of quilter. I thoroughly recommend you consider inviting Sue to take you on a fantastic journey through any of her workshops. Here’s a link so you can have a look at the type of quilts she creates. http://suebenner.com/Pages/AboutArtist.html
Last Sunday, as promised, I posted another article in the series Color Theory for Quilters – Tones. I have had some great feedback about this series and I’m glad you’re enjoying them. Here’s the link to that article: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art8227.asp Keep your eyes out for the next article which will be posted in the next few weeks. It will be all about Shades.
Well, I have yet again been surfing the net looking for interesting little gems for you, and here’s your gifts for this week.
