Greetings Everyone and Happy Father's Day to the Dads -
Just a few days left of school here in Los Angeles for Matthew. I am in the beginning stages of the due process for his school placement. He needs to be in a school that follows the traditional calendar from Sep thru June and not one that has off in Sep and October. Having Matthew on another schedule would disrupt the schooling that Nicholas does with California Virtual Academy. Nick mastered all subjects and got his report card in mail yesterday. There is no foreign language for Middle School so I am shopping around to find something so he can learn another language. That is almost a necessity here in Los Angeles, plus knowing two languages will generate more income when it comes time to seek employment.
I took Nicholas out of his element on Friday and we visited Santa Monica Pier and walked around or several hours by the beach. Somehow he did find a way to talk about animals the whole time, but at least he had a different experience and one he can share with others at camp next month.
