Hiking & Backpacking

June 2 2010 Hiking & Backpacking Newsletter

Hello, hello!

It's been a cold and snowy spring on the eastern slopes of the Canadian Rockies - I'm hoping you're faring better! That being said, we've still been able to bundle up and head out to enjoy a few great hikes. Coming back to Pigeon Mountain parking lot from Skogan Pass the other day, we saw a researcher with antennae for tracking wildlife. Turns out there was a small female grizzly off in trees, just out of sight. Made me wonder how many animals we pass by every time we hit the trails! Play safe and enjoy your hiking - especially this coming Saturday.
