Attention Deficit Disorder

Here's the latest article from the Attention Deficit Disorder site at BellaOnline.com.

Greetings from the Land of Oz!

Our weather has been hot here, but not as sizzling as where I went in Texas. My sister and I went into a business, and it was 107 degrees. When we came out, two hours later, it was 111! One thing I can say is that it didn't seem as hot. We have killer humidity in Kansas, and the humidity in Texas was lower. It was a good trip, and I slept like a baby in the hotel.

Building established routines, to help your child to get adequate sleep, is more than a way to end the day’s activities. These routines are essential to your child’s daily functioning. They assist him in getting enough sleep to deal with what comes his way during the day and help him build success.

Research shows that not getting enough sleep can be devastating for a child with ADD. I have included the sources that I used to develop this article. Adults with ADD also need to get adequate sleep to help manage their symptoms.

My tendency is to stay up late and get up early. This gives me about five hours of sleep--not enough. I have to work on getting adequate sleep. How about you? Do you have some tricks for getting to bed on time? Please share them with us in the ADD Forum. There is a link below to take you directly to this article.

Have a blessed week,
Connie
