What type of bowler are you? Tight-line (straighter to the pins), stroker (medium hook), or cranker (higher revolutions); is the core of your ball balanced?; and where was the locator pin placed when your ball was drilled? A final note covers your positive axis point (PAP).
A Question Of Balance
Moving on from the different ball types, this article covers aspects that affect the balance of a ball, therefore influencing how it will roll down the lane.

"Choc-Talk:"
-If you are not a "cranker," it is better to watch the professional women bowlers or senior PBA bowlers for hints and tips about your game. For basic fundamentals, they are rock solid.
-As the name implies, the "breakpoint" is where your ball starts its hook. Generally, a shorter oil pattern will have a breakpoint closer to the outside part of the lane; a longer oil patter will have a breakpoint closer to the middle part of the lane.
-Why do so many bowlers continually talk about what happened in the previous frames or games? Forget it, move on, there's nothing you can do with the past; but, you can control what you are doing in this frame.
-If you are having a difficult time correcting a mistake, sometimes over-exaggerating the error will help to overcome it.
