Shalom!! Shavuot or the Feast of Weeks is right around the corner! Shavuot marks the fiftieth day from the beginning of the counting of the Omer, which begins on the second night of Passover and also marks the day on which the Jewish people received the Torah on Mt. Sinai. Shavuot is observed on the 6th and 7th of the Hebrew month of Sivan, from sundown on June 7 through nightfall on June 9th. I hope you have an enjoyable and meaningful Shavuot!

This week's article focuses on one of Shavuot's most unique and popular customs, the Tikkun Leil Shavuot, or all-night Torah study session.

Shavuot and Jewish Learning
Although Shavuot lacks specific mitzvot associated with it, a very popular custom on the first night of Shavuot is to remain awake, studying Torah.
