It's summer and time for vacations. Use wheeled suitcases to take the strain off the arms. The type of motion used for carrying suitcases and briefcases can contribute to the development of tennis elbow.
Also, be careful about placing the straps of those heavy carry-ons, large, heavy purses, and shopping bags over the shoulder. The drag on the shoulder can cause nerve compressions and pain.
To help the body heal from the unaccustomed physical activity of carrying and lifting the baggage, drink plenty of decaffeinated fluids and get enough rest.
