Thank you for your patience and please accept my apologies for the late publication of this article. Our family has just traveled from Arizona to Chicago by car - with four young children. It took a little longer than planned - but the article stems from a conversation I had with my husband while driving. He believes that there is a fundamental problem within our religion between philosophy and the expression of our religion. His peeve? That we adhere to specific denominations - and often dislike others - without even understanding the philosophy behind them. Learn everything and then make a decision where you belong - is what I got out of our conversation.
Religion and Philosophy - A Challenge to Learn
Often times we find ourselves in places we really do not know much about. Is your place in Judaism well defined? Do you know and accept the philosophy of your "chosen denomination"?
