Hello, Everyone--
My latest article on the Feng Shui site at BellaOnline.com is all about "Feng Shui Symbols." Symbols like red tassels, a 3-legged money frog, a pair of Mandarin ducks, a bowl of oranges, or an aquarium with gold fish, all have specific meanings and cultural associations in Chinese Feng Shui. You can read about some of the more well-known Feng Shui symbols and what they represent.
In the article I talk about symbols in four different categories:
Prosperity and Happiness Symbols, like a set of three Chinese coins tied together with a red string or ribbon.
Animal Symbols, like the arrowana, or dragon fish, that is a symbol for wealth.
Flower Symbols including the lotus, orchid, chrysanthemum, and peony, which should be placed in pairs in your bedroom.
Fruit Symbols, such as the peach for immortality, grapes for an abundance of food, apples for harmony and peace, and the pomegranate for fertility.

I look forward to answering your questions about Feng Shui symbols, or any other topics in Feng Shui. You can reach me by e-mail or post your question on the Feng Shui Forum located at http://forums.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=70.
