Greetings, Everyone.
Though the phone lines have not yet been restored in this area, thanks to the wonders of Sprint and wireless internet, I am once again on the web, and grateful to be back to my online work.
We, in this area, have been back in our homes for about a week now. There has since been a flurry of activity with area residents cleaning out flood-damaged homes and property, FEMA and Red Cross people coming and assessing damages and health risks, and scrap workers clearing out the tons of waste and rubble that once were someone's beloved possessions.
Though it has been a tremendous hardship on those that live in the area affected by the floods, those of us who have experienced hardship before know all too well, that regardless of what hardship we face, life does go on, and that recovery will ensue.
Then, too, yesterday, I became a grandma for the first time. It's a girl!
