Here's the latest article from the Mexico site at BellaOnline.com.
Hola,
Prior and during the time that I have been editor of the Mexico site (10/2010), I established many goals for myself. Those goals included perpetually meeting BellaOnline's editor guidelines regarding posting at least weekly site relevant articles, moderating and contributing to the forum on a regular basis, mailing a weekly newsletter, and responding in a timely manner to emails (what emails???).
Moreover, and just as importantly if not more so, I have accomplished my personal goals of learning to write in different styles and formats, to provide informative and entertaining articles about a variety of aspects of Mexico, to offer in some manner, shape or form personalized content that is not available elsewhere, to present Mexico in a way that would show its "culture" be it good, bad, beautiful or ugly, to overwrite all of the content of the previous site editor, to never participate in so-called social networks/social forums (whatever the heck they are!) while expanding the "viewership" (ok, the "hits") by a significant percentage and to not be the editor for more than two years.
Having accomplished all of these goals to my fullist (I hope) potential (and having the attention span of a gnat!), I have decided to make 8/11/2012 my last day as editor of the Mexico site. However, for good, bad, beautiful or ugly (topic-wise that is), I will remain as editor for the Birds site until I accomplish all of my goals there-one of them is decidedly not to overwrite all of the previous editors articles as there are almost 400 of them and who knows if even if I had the attention span or inclination if I would be alive long enough to do so.
So... if I have accomplished nothing else, I hope that ALL of you are now aware, if you hadn't been before, that MEXICO IS PART OF NORTH AMERICA!
Glossary of Traditional Mexican Sweets
Mexico is home to an array of traditional delicious dulces. Many of these sweets/candies have their roots in the country's Spanish Colonial past. This article provides a useful glossary of some of the most popular and best confections that the country has to offer.
