Here's the latest article from the Attention Deficit Disorder site at BellaOnline.com.
Greetings from the scorched Land of OZ!
I was running around all day long doing errands to get ready for a camping trip. We are taking the easy way out and camping in a cabin. When I made reservations, early in the spring, I just debated this. We love staying outdoors, but July can just be punishing in the Midwest. I'm sooo glad we opted for the cabin. Would you believe that it has air conditioning? If it wasn't for all of the outdoor cooking, it would hardly seem like camping. We just needed a break, since I have been working on my first book about ADD since school let out for summer break. Now, it is almost time to go back to school. At least the book was published last week.
I am so excited! My first e-book! It's called Building School Success with ADD. If you are a regular reader, you may have read many of the articles. I compiled quite a few articles and added new information. Next week there will be a full review of the book on the ADD site. I wrote the book that would have helped me when I found out that our sons have ADD. It was important to me to get the book out before school started, since I want to see kids get off to a good start. Downloading an e-book from BellaOnline is easy. We keep our e-books priced so that they are not a huge drain on your wallet. This week's article: Superparenting for ADD Book Review
Superparenting for ADD is not a long read, but it is filled with wisdom. There is a simple message in this book. As a parent, you can help your child who has Attention Deficit Disorder “unwrap the gifts” that he was born with. Sometimes people with ADD have trouble unwrapping their gifts. Drs. Hallowell and Jensen teach how to help children use these natural abilities.
This book is highly recommended for people who are tired of people looking at folks with ADD from only a needs based approach. We have strengths, gifts and talents galore. Sometimes all we need is a chance to learn to "unwrap them."
