Jo Joyner wants to bring some much needed laughs to Walford, as she joins the EE cast as Tanya Branning. The actress won the Rose D'Or for her comedic performance in the sketch show Swingers.

Corrie fans: remember Vikram ? If you loved Chris Bisson, you'll want to watch the new drama coming on the BBC called Magnolia. It will also feature Street actor Ralph Ineson, who portrayed Shelley's therapist Zack.

Pride TV, a  new channel highlighting gay issues and lifestyles is to launch in November. The subscription based channel will air ten hours daily on satellite and cable, and will broadcast free-to-air on the broadcaster's new "Pride Digital IDTV Network".

Former Bond actor Roger Moore is the latest celeb who wants to feature as a 'victim' in the John Nettles series Midsomer Murders. How they would manage to bump off Bond is another matter.

The revival of seventies and eighties shows that were better left buried continues. After 18 blessed years off air, one of the ickiest game shows ever, Mr and Mrs, is set to return. I hope they at least manage to change the stomach churning theme music and get rid of those pink envelopes.

Charlotte Church, once only known for her lovely voice but latterly for her dubious exploits, has done it again. Insults flew in the pilot for her new chat show  filmed last week. Dubbing big screen favourite Keira Knightly a "scrawny bird" is one thing, calling Pope Benedict XVI a "Nazi" is quite another. The All New Charlotte Church Show will air this fall on Channel 4, to rival Jonathan Ross on the BBC. Bet you can't wait....
