Art Appreciation

July 7 2008 Art Appreciation Newsletter

As you may have noticed by reading my articles and newsletters how much I LOVE Washington, D.C. If you haven't visited there yet, you'll have a great time. It is very family friendly because most of the museums are free. And public transportation is so accessible.

I was really impressed with the American Art Museum for a number of reasons. The building is architecturally and historically wonderful. It is immense and allows room for the large wall scupltures and video art. As most of the artists have recognizable names, I don't think most people should feel intimidated.

I hope you enjoy reading my article which is linked below.

Here's the latest article from the Art Appreciation site at BellaOnline.com.

Thirty Minutes in the American Art Museum
The Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C. shares the same building with the National Portrait Gallery. I'll share my thirty minute tour.
