Today is the start of a new month- August! As we approach this new month with gratitude and thanks, let's take time to accomplish new goals and inspire all those we meet.

Not only is today the start of August, but it is also the birthday of Maria Mitchell (1818-1889) who, in 1847, was the first female astronomer to discover a comet with the use of a telescope. The comet was later named "Miss Mitchell's Comet" in her honor.
