Hi again....Kathleen from the Birding Corner at BellaOnline.
My husband and I don't take vacation until late August, and guess what? Ready or not (and I'm not! It's late August. We're not going far, just backing off our usual routine to relax at a nearby prairie lake--just in time to watch the birds begin their fall migration.
I hope you're also making time to slow down and enjoy some quiet moments, wherever in the world you are. I've posted two more articles for you to reflect on at BellaOnline's Birding Corner this week:
Watching the Grandchildren is More Important than Watching the Birds
“I can’t, honey, I’m sorry,” I told my daughter. “I need to work on advance birding columns all day today.” But I´ll get to the cormorants next week. Perhaps.

Flickers and their Marvelous Tongues
Someone once examined the stomach of a dead flicker and found five thousand ants. Wonder how so many of the unlucky insects got there at once?
