More than one earring or bracelet pattern also includes a pin or brooch pattern too. This one by Jeanne is a brooch to match the split ring earring she designed as a rose.
The method for both earring and brooch is tatting a line of split rings and then coiling them.

When it comes to wearable tatting, I was impressed by the work of the late Jan Stawasz from Poland. He took the swirly motif from this photo and made it into a hat and a marvelous fashion vest! This is something every tatter can do, too.
