Aloha Readers!

Summer has flown by and tourist traffic is starting to wane. School is back in session, and thankfully there won't be anymore "Furlough Fridays." Last year's budget cuts in education meant that public schools had to close its doors on most Fridays. Fortunately, the State of Hawaii has dipped into its emergency relief fund to ensure five day weeks this school year.

I hope you have been enjoying the site. My latest articles are on kayaking in Oahu and hiking the Na Pali coast of Kauai. Both activities can be modified for families, or intensified for the athlete. Each offer incredible insight to Hawaii's natural bounty. Please don't hesitate to post in the forum and send emails my way. I appreciate your ideas and suggestions.
