Hello Beauties,

How many of us have spent money on skincare products only to discover that they didn’t work? Let’s not waste any more hard-earned cash on products that do nothing or cause damage to our skin. You can practice “try before you buy” on skincare as well. Here are a few ways that you can sample various products.

Sephora: If you make purchases online or through the Sephora app, you can often choose up to 3 sample products. Items range from makeup to skincare to haircare. Downloading the app also offers shoppers the choice of an additional promotional offer. The promotional offers vary; however, this can be a great opportunity for more skincare samples, some of which are deluxe. You can also go in store and ask for up to three free samples of most items. If it can be scooped, pumped, or poured then chances are you can get a sample. Be sure not to throw away the little sample container they give you. Once you are finished with them, rinse them out and keep them for excess product in sample packets. Often it’s hard to use all of the product in the sample packs, but there is no way to reseal the pack to keep the product fresh. Squeeze the remainder in the sample containers given to you at Sephora. They are the perfect size. You can even rinse out the sample pack and put the container inside so you don’t forget what’s inside the container. Lastly, if you are a rewards member, you can use your points for deluxe sample items in the rewards bazaar.

Ulta: Ulta offers samples if you make an online purchase. You can choose either makeup, skincare, or variety.

Subscription Boxes: While these samples are not technically free, for as little as ten dollars a month, many subscription boxes include skincare samples. Many boxes give you samples of high end or indie brands. If you are looking to sample drugstore products before purchase, stores like Target, Walmart, and Amazon offer their own beauty boxes.

These are just a few tips on how you can get free samples for skincare products. If you can think of any others then feel free to mention them in the forums. If you would like to remain anonymous you can also email me and I will post your ideas in the forum without mentioning you by name.

Stay gorgeous,
