My mother always told me to save something from my paycheck every time I got paid. Her theory was even $2.00 in the bank every week is better than nothing. Of course, I ignored her advice, at that time I would not have considered depositing $2.00 in my bank account. Many years later I learned that stock dividend checks were often much less; and that wealthy people had no qualms about redepositing these small checks into their stock accounts.
