This is a lovely pattern. It is presented in four pieces. Here is a half diagram which I have stitched together to give you an idea of the size and shape.

The style of construction reminds me so much of Ben Fikkert's tatting. You may remember his books. Please visit https://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art20429.asp

As I was about to start the directions today I was faced with a dilemma. I had another request for my time to schedule a trip and purchase advance tickets to see the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, MO. I have a house guest who is here learning English. He is 17 and was actually born in Dracula's hometown, the 14th-century town of Sighisoara, Transylvania, Roumania. The first night we discussed our Constitution, the First and Second Amendment. He is using his words well but struggles with concepts. Today we learned the difference between can and may. As in "Can I drink the last soda in the icebox?" and "May I drink the last soda in the icebox?"
He spent the afternoon power washing the back porch and all the patio furniture. He came in dripping with both sweat and water from the hose and a look in his eyes like a puppy dog wanting your last bite of cookie. What can I say? I crumbled.
So I beg you to forgive me. The doily comes then on Aug. 11, 2019. Meanwhile, perhaps you would like to review this snippet of pattern Ben shared from the review of his book "Tatting Adventures."
