Domestic Violence

September 16 2006 Domestic Violence Newsletter

Autumn Greetings to everyone in the USA and Spring to those down under. I hope everyone is doing well. Things are busy as always around our house. I have been letting more of my emotional issues from my past abuse come to the surface and releasing them. As many of you know, I haven't been to see a counselor or psychologist for dealing with my past but I think it is going to have to come to that. It is getting harder and harder for me to talk about the deep dark things that happened to me. I feel like I need to talk about these things but at the same time I am afraid to say or think about these things. I started working on alternative therapies articles like journaling, meditations, etc.

Also, in a recent chat with fellow editors, we discussed privacy on the forums here at BellaOnline.com especially pertaining to us here at the Domestic Violence site. I have received emails several times over the past year with concern about abusers finding your information or stories here. I feel very honored when someone comes to this site to find help or help me give advice to victims and survivors. Your safety and privacy is my #1 concern when interacting with my readers. So we have come up with Privacy Policy Statement to reassure everyone who visits our forums that they are safe to be as open as they want to be here. Your abuser can still find your tracks on the internet if you are not careful and not know how to hide your tracks while on the internet. I am also working on an article about this as well. Here's the latest article from the Domestic Violence site at BellaOnline.com.

Calling the Police
You should never be afraid to call the police if you are being abused physically. They could be the one thing that keeps you alive during or after an attack.
