As students with Attention Deficit Disorder go off to college for the first time, there is a huge transition from high school work to college studies. Also, they lose their support system that often cues them to do those tasks that are essential. How can a student take charge of his college life?

It's that time of year when students are starting to realize that they may be in trouble at college. This article provides information and strategies to help any student who is struggling with inattention and organization in college. As a person who completely bombed college the first time that I went, I know how painful it feels to be disorganized and overwhelmed. Later, I learned strategies to help correct the problems that I had the first time. Some of these strategies are shared in this article.

Students who learn to quell the inattention and disorganization that ADD can bring to academic life can become highly successful students. Their unique problem solving skills and creativity can be freed to help them excel in their classes.
