SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK
So God said, in effect, "If that's what you want, that's what you get." It wasn't long before they were living in a pigpen, smeared with filth, filthy inside and out. And all this because they traded the true God for a fake god, and worshiped the god they made instead of the God who made them—the God we bless, the God who blesses us. Oh, yes! Worse followed. Refusing to know God, they soon didn't know how to be human either—women didn't know how to be women, men didn't know how to be men. Sexually confused, they abused and defiled one another, women with women, men with men—all lust, no love. And then they paid for it, oh, how they paid for it—emptied of God and love, godless and loveless wretches (Romans 1:24-27 MSG).

WOMAN OF THE BIBLE PROFILE
Who is she? Lot’s Wife who turned into a pillar of salt after disobeying the command to not look back at the city being destroyed.
What did she do? She had a divided will. God was trying to save her life, but her heart was back in the sinful city Sodom that she knew God was going to destroy. “There were two voices calling her. The voice of God called her to the highlands, to liberty, to salvation, to purity of life. The voice of Satan called her to the sin of Sodom, to the popularity of society, to the destruction of God. She had been yielding to the voice of Satan, so she did the natural thing. She yielded to the voice she was in the habit of yielding to. She yielded to the flesh, forgetting the blessings of God” (Wayne Reynolds Pastor of Independence Baptist Foristell Missouri).
Where is her story found? Genesis 19:24-26
Why is her story important? Luke 17:31 tells us to “remember Lot’s wife”. She was a woman who gave in to her natural desires. She was so submerged in the wickedness of her culture that she could not obey God’s command.

PRAYER REQUEST
Pray for all who see God’s blessings but fail to know the true meaning of faith. God is at work in everything that goes on, the good and the bad. Pray that we recognize God’s presence in every situation and have enough faith to recognize His voice when He calls His sheep.

MISSION UPDATE
There are so many persecuted Christians who long just to read one verse from a Bible. Find out how you can start a Bible Drive in your community to donate Bibles to Christians in other countries.

I hope to hear from you sometime soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message. I thrive on your feedback!

Have fun passing this message along to family and friends, because we all love free knowledge!
