Birding

January 31 2010 Birding Newsletter

The goal of this newsletter is to inform birders of all ages of new articles written by the birding editor of bellaonline.com. Birds are an integral part of all land ecosystems. They control pests, provide meat for other animals (and sometimes humans), and give us an indicator of environmental problems.

Birding is the study of birds in the wild, It is different from owning or raising birds. Birding includes seeing birds (usually through binoculars) and identifying birds through their songs and calls. Birding is a hobby that is open to everybody. You can travel the world seeing exotic birds with $1000 binoculars or you can look out your window at a feeder with a pair of $25 binoculars, (or no binoculars at all if you can get close enough. The bellaonline birdings site and newsletter should be of interest to birders of every level.

This week's topic is "Careers for Birders." I hope you enjoy it.
