Birding is the study of birds in the wild, It is different from owning or raising birds. Birding includes seeing birds (usually through binoculars) and identifying birds through their songs and calls. Birding is a hobby that is open to everybody. You can travel the world seeing exotic birds with $1000 binoculars or you can look out your window at a feeder with a pair of $25 binoculars, (or no binoculars at all if you can get close enough.
