Alternative Assessments with Gifted & Talented...
A review written by Linda Coleman, testing guru and parent of three gifted children. Linda is extremely well informed on matters relating to IQ and achievement testing, and I am very happy to have her point of view on this new guidebook. The full title of the reviewed book is Alternative Assessments with Gifted and Talented Students, by Joyce Van Tassel-Baska.

To participate in free, fun online discussions, this site has a community forum all about Gifted Education located here:

Wendy Skinner and I will be discussing school advocacy and homeschooling for gifted children in Somerville Massachusetts next Sunday. A very modest $5 cover charge will be collected by Boston Mensa, the event sponsors, to cover hall rental and light refreshments. See Boston Mensa's website for more information: Please join us!

A very happy holiday weekend to those who are celebrating. Spring has finally arrived and we are hoping the local deer won't eat what's left of our flower bulbs before they bloom!
