I'm just home from an invigorating experience at Spark!, which is MIT's newest program for middle and high school students. While my son took classes, I hung out in the student center and took in the MIT museum with my three year old and an adult friend. A lovely day, all in all, despite the pouring rain!
Why not see if your local university has anything to offer in the way of educational programs for kids? More and more schools around the country are developing these events, which are usually offered for a minimal cost and provide tons of fun!
