Critical Issues and Practices in Gifted Education
A fantastic new book brought to us by the National Association for Gifted Children and Prufrock Press pulls together a century of gifted research and presents findings on gifted kids and suicide, musical talent, early childhood, gifted girls, self-concept, and much, much, more.
Lots of stories in the news are being discussed on the gifted education forum this week. Check it out and add your comments!
My family has been busy weeding our overgrown flower garden and spreading six yards of mulch. There's so much that kids can learn by helping out with yard work! We've unearthed several mysterious chrysalises, a few of which now sit in jars being patiently monitored. The younger kids have been observing toads and planting flowers in pots. Even scratching through a compost pile for fresh dirt is fun when viewed with a fresh attitude! It's easy to forget how amazing it all is when you're three years old!
Until next time-
