Good Day to everyone, another Wednesday, another chance to catch up, and this week I’m on time!
After such a busy week last week, I’m relaxing this week and enjoying just pottering around the garden and in my sewing room. With spring well and truly upon us it’s a joy to poke around outside, pulling the odd dead flower head, and watering the happy plants. My husband does all the hard yakka in the garden, I offer my opinion about planting and cutting, which occasionally is taken notice of!
When we first came to this home about three years ago, the gardens were clipped within an inch of their life. All hedges nearly 8 foot tall. So we decided to soften the look and have added a huge amount of under planting with variegated textural plants, and lots of hanging baskets. Just like quilting really – all about the colour!
Last week I posted a free pattern I devised for a soft block roll. It’s one I’ve made many times over and thought I’d like to share it with you. Here’s the link: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art181666.asp
I’ve also posted a new conversation on the forum about Quilt Show Judges critique. Here in Australia, we don’t have a written critique offered when we enter our quilts. But I do know that America Quilt shows more often than not, offer written critique. I wonder how this works, and if readers find it useful, helpful or hurtful. Here’s the link to that subject, and let’s get chatting.
