It’s such a busy time of year, the holiday season. No matter how organised you are, there seems to be a propensity to get flustered and rush about. I’m starting to feel a panic come on – what do we have for Christmas Lunch, breakfast and dinner? What do we do on the day? Lots of things to think about and organise, with the aim of the absolute impossible – Try to satisfy everyone – all of the time!!
I’ve had a series of Christmas parties to attend in the last week, yesterdays being the biggest as it was our Guild Christmas Party. About 80 women attended and it was a hoot of a day. Lots of laughing and simply behaving badly and having a ball. I sang my Christmas Carol to the group and it seemed to go over pretty well. And then the night group had a fun activity for us all to participate in, which allowed us to get to know each other a bit easier. I do love my QQ (we call it 2Q for Queensland Quilters Inc), and the friendships we make have survived lots of ups and downs of everyday life.
I posted the Quilt Gift Shuffle Christmas Carol on the website last week for everyone to enjoy. Here’s the link for you: Here's a Christmas Carol sung to the tune of "Deck the Halls" and with tongue planted firmly in cheek!!

I’ve had several requests to reprint, which is always nice when people ask to use your stuff.
The forum has been busy this week, with a few more additions to our second challenge and a few new posts for us to contribute to. Here’s the link :

Feel free to add your say into these forums – if you wish, post a new topic for us all to contribute to. It’s lots of fun. We have some regular girls who hang out at the forum and I love to hear their contributions. So go ahead and have a go.
My gift to you this week is a bit odd, but I found it very interesting. It’s a site that has lots and lots of names of colors, and when you click on the name, the background shows the color. Very interesting. I actually got onto the site when a dear friend of mine described a lovely lipstick purse she’d bought as being “Aurelio Yellow”. Thought she was making it up, but I was wrong. After a google for color names, my curiosity was sated. I hope you enjoy it too.

I hope to hear from you sometime soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message. I thrive on your feedback!
Cheerio for now, and have fun quilting!
