Hello everyone, hope all’s well at your place. Who said quilters can’t perform miracles? Last Monday afternoon at the Sunshine Linus meeting we were putting together in bags ready for delivery, 110 quilts for the Special School at Caboolture, just north of Brisbane.
We needed boys and girls quilts appropriate to their age. We have been making and collecting quilts since the end of last year and were certain we would have the right amount. You guessed it – we were one short!!
We couldn’t believe it – how could we be one short? Anyway, one of our intrepid quilters Nicky remembered that she was in the middle of completing a quilt and had, by the way, been sewing the binding on during her journey to the gathering. So there we are, heading off to the Special School with 109 quilts and one being completed as we arrived!! How impressive is that?
