It’s a hello from me, just popping in for a quick chat and I hope all’s well at your end. Had a wonderful stay with my daughter and her husband and their gorgeous chocolate Labrador, Cadbury. We went on a few “nanny walks”, I was a very proud nanny. He is such a gentle dog, and has the most pleasing nature. He simply adores my daughter and SIL, and when they’re in the room, only has eyes for them.
With all the rain Queensland has had this year, the bush is very, very green and lush, especially from the air. I don’t think I can remember seeing the landscape so healthy looking. Some graziers are saying that because of the huge rains we’ve had, the next few years will bring bumper crops and herds. So as always, you can’t have a rainbow with the rain.
I’m in the mood for finishing things. Most unusual for me, as I tend to flit from one project to another. But over the recent times, I’ve completed a few outstanding projects and am now getting a full steam of head. I started a project a few years ago, making Suffolk puffs (sometimes called yo-yo’s).
Well, I wanted to make a vest out of the yo-yo’s and only got about 20 puffs made, then lost interest. Well, I’m keen to get this finished so that’s what I’m doing most of my spare time. I’ll photograph it when it’s finished and you can tell me what you think. I saw one on a girl wearing a white shirt and jeans, and she looked FABULOUS! So here’s hoping!!
Last Sunday I posted the final instalment of Free Block of the Month programs that I’ve sourced from the web. Here’s the link for you to check it out: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art10182.asp
