Hi all, it’s a beautiful Wednesday here today – the sky is clear of clouds, and the blue almost hurts the eyes. This really is the best time of the year in Brisbane, Australia and we say that an autumn day like this makes up for a week of humidity that we suffer during the wet season.
I’ve been busy quilting, quilting and am glad to say I’ve finally got my appliqué quilt finished. It’s the only hand quilted quilt I have made and I’m very pleased with it. I do love to hand quilt, but will never live long enough to make all the quilts I want to, even if I machine quilt every one! So I’ve got to prioritise.
This year our guild – Queensland Quilters Inc has encouraged every member to enter more than one quilt in the show. I’m aiming at three, possibly four! Just have to get busy with my hands and let the dust sit another week. Housework is a priority for me, when there’s nothing else happening. LOL!!
I’ve been busy creating another charity quilt pattern and instructions for you. I get lots of requests for easy charity quilts and this one fits the bill perfectly. I’m happy for you to use this pattern in any of your charity endeavours. Here’s the link: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art176373.asp
If you do make a quilt from these instructions, please send me a photo! I love to see what you’re doing.
Mothers Day has come and gone and I wonder what “quilty” stuff you received as a gift. Pop over to the forum and tell us what you received for Mothers Day. Here’s the link:
